Following Thomas’s death his will was published as follows;

This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Hollebone
of the Parish of West Firle in the County of Sussex, Blacksmith, made this first
day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and
Ninety Three. First I order and Direct that all my Debts funeral expenses
and the charges proving this my Will be in the first place paid and
discharged by my Executors, hereinafter named and subject thereto I give and
bequeath unto my friends William Young of West Firle aforesaid, Yeoman and
Richard Ellman of the same place , Yeoman the Executors and Administrators
All and singular my Household Goods, Stock in Trade of my shops situate in
West Firle aforesaid and Saint John Baptist, Southover near Lewes in the said
County, plate, linen, ready money, and suretees for money, bonds, bills and notes
And all other of my Estate and Effects whatsoerver and wheresoever which I shall be
Possessed of interest in or entitled unto at the time of my decease upon
Trust that they the said William Young and Richard Ellman or the
Survivors of them or the Executors or Administrators found possession do and shall within three

Months next after my decease take an inventory and appraisement of all
and singular my Household Goods, Stock in Trade and Effects whatsovever
and wheresoever to the interest and purpose that they the said William Young and
Richard Ellman their Executors and Administrators may ascertain the current
True value of my said estate and effects and also upon further Trust
that they the said William Young and Richard Ellman or the survivors them or the
Executors or Administrators of such survivor do and shall permit and suffer
my dear and loving wife Elizabeth Hollebone to have hold and enjoy
All and singular my Household Goods, Stock in Trade, plate linen, ready
Money and securities for money, and all other my estate and effects
whatsoever and wheresoever and also to keep forward and carry on the doings (?)
of a Blacksmith (which I now carry on) and to receive and take profits
thereof for her own use (?) for and towards the maintenance and support of herself
