The Castle of Lewes aforesaid, in trust for the Parishoners
Of the said Parish in Forty Pounds of good and
Lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to the said
Robert Withington,  John Edwards, John Tourle, John
Wimble, John Wille and William Trigg, or their
Certain attorney, their executors, administrators or
Assigns to which Payment  will and truly be
Made, We bind ourselves, and each of us, our
And each of our Heirs Executors and Administrators
Firmly by the Presents Sealed with our Seal.

Whereas Mary Stanly of Lewes aforesaid, Singlewoman,
Hath declared herself to be with child, that the Child or
Children of which she is now pregnant, is or are likely
To become chargeable to the said Parish of Saint John under
The Castle of Lewes and that the abovebounden Thomas
Hollebone is the father of such Child or  Children. And
Whereas the said Thomas Hollebone hath consented and
Agreed to pay the sum of Forty Shillings for and towards
The Expenses incident for the attending the lying-in of the
Said Mary Stanly, and also the further sum of One

Shilling and Six pence weekly and every week
For every such child or children of which the said Mary
Stanly is now pregnant and shall be delivered of so
Long as the same shall be chargeable to the said Parish.
