Bert and Edith spent the next 20 years moving around Brighton and Hove running a number of Bed and Breakfast establishments and opening a number of Fried Fish Shops. The first premises was at 44 Regency Square Brighton, which adjoins the seafront near to the West Pier, which was in 1923
They moved to 4 St Margrets Place in 1925
